Tom took the reins at BOP Event + Expo Hire with a clear goal: honour the reputation John and James built, and push it further. His background in hospitality and the wine industry gave him a sharp eye for service and a real understanding of what it means to deliver an experience — skills that translate directly into the events world. He’s your first point of contact and the person ultimately responsible for making sure your event goes smoothly.
John is the foundation BOP Event + Expo Hire was built on. With more than two decades in the hire industry, there isn’t a venue, a floor plan, or a logistical challenge he hasn’t seen. He’s staying on in a consulting and operations capacity, ensuring continuity and keeping the high standards the business is known for. If John says it’ll be done, it’ll be done.
Known to everyone as Woj, Wojtek has spent more than a decade in the hire industry — following John and James from Tauranga Party Hire through to Bay Plenty Expo Hire, and now BOP Event + Expo Hire. He’s an old hand at panel construction and exhibition build, and he brings a level of calm, practical expertise that makes bump-in days run smoothly. You’ll recognise him as the one with the smile and the can-do attitude, no matter what the day throws at the crew.
Sheldon runs Hands for Hire and provides additional labour capacity when we need it most. He’s become a trusted part of the BOP crew — dependable, enthusiastic, and absolutely committed to making sure every customer gets a quality product and an on-time delivery. Another person with a can-do attitude who genuinely takes pride in a job well done.
